a first fanfiction collection Deep-scleros is published. The fics are based on Lukyanenko's cycle Labyrinth of Reflections - False Mirrors. It includes Oleg Kulagin's novella "Deep-scleroz" and two short stories - "Deep Down" by Tatiana Matveeva and "Otrazhenie falshivyh serdec" (The Reflections of False Hearts) by Artem Prohorov

2003

first slash ("Neudachnik, ja tvoj..." (Loser, I'm yours...) by Earnur

2004

Lukyanenko's Night Watch is made into a movie (now in wide release) which triggers a wave of fics (slash too)

2006

planned release of movies based on Segodnja, mama! (Today, Mom!) and Night Watch-2: Mel Sud'by (The Chalk of Destiny)

Sergey Lukyanenko is not opposed to fanfiction. His own web-page on Russian Fantasy hosts more than 10 fanfics, and he wrote a preface to Deep-scleroz
